The excitement is over. The computers are back in our schools. We all had to get on with some hard work today.
But we have some wonderful memories, don't we? We saw all kinds of learning taking place using ICT and now we want to have a go at these things ourselves.
Some of the classes have been doing PMIs about what they saw at the Expo. Do you know what a PMI is? You think about the Pluses, the Minuses and the Interesting events.
If you have done a PMI you might like to share it with us through the comments.
Don't forget you don't have to log in any more - just click anonymous. But still leave your name at the bottom.
Have fun.

5.45 PM
Pt England has just completed the final presentation, about PENN and schoolTV. The hall is STILL full of people! Congratulations to all presenters. The expo is open until 7pm, so there's still time to come and see, or to come for a second look if you want!
2.50 PM
We are currently listening to Panmure Bridge's second presentation. It sounds even better the second time! We have just seen how to make an iMovie. Peter Jackson beware!! We are now seeing how they solve the problem of paper litter at their school, by doing a survey and making a movie. Fantastic, Panmure Bridge!
Dominic Bowden
Dominic is busy telling us all about himself! He just reminded us about him being on Squirt, and is now answering kid's questions. Someone just asked him if he enjoys being a judge! He's also telling us about Rosita's album being out, and thinks that everyone should buy it. Jackie is his favourite judge, and he likes all the contestants. Everyone is very excited to have him here!
The word is getting around
The word is getting around about how cool our expo is - Dominic Bowden has just arrived in the hall and it is lucky he is so tall! He has crowds of kids gathering around wanting to ask him questions.
Lucky Panmure Bridge will have their presentation hosted by Dominic.
Looking forward to it!

2.10 PM
We're into the second cycle of the presentations, starting back at the beginning with Tamaki College, our host school. I really liked the amazing sketches that they'd scanned as part of their presentation, and the Chocolate Challenge sounded like lots of fun! Pt England's Team 3, and Rooms 15 and 16 are our visitors for this hour, and it looks like they're really enjoying looking at all the different booths!
Comments!
All our visitors are busy looking around the booths. They sound like they're enjoying themselves! If you'd like to tell us what you learnt while you were here, and what you thought of it, please feel free to leave us a comment. You can do this by clicking on the comments button at the bottom of any post, and then typing your comment. If you tick "anonymous" or "other" at the bottom of the comment, you won't even have to log in! Remember to write your name :) Thanks, hope you had fun!
1.45 PM
Hi everyone! We have just listened to Pt England's Senior School tell us all about Podcasting! Rivalana and Miriam went through step by step about how to create a podcast, and then we listened to a special one that they made at Kid's Congress at Kelly Tarltons. They make their podcasts about books that they read, and then review. You can get their podcasts online by using iTunes to search the online music store for "kpe" and then listening, or you can download the episodes and listen to them on your computer or ipod. We also got to see Livingston and Heke do some cool actions while we listened to the podcast! It was very funny.
1.20 PM
We have just finished watching Tamaki Primary's presentation. They have been studying the solar system, and showed us a really cool animation of the Earth revolving! We also learnt about the sun and all the planets around it. The 5 year olds made a Powerpoint showing all the letters of the alphabet, and an animal to go with each letter. There was also a Powerpoint about road safety, which was very informative. St Patrick's School and Panmure Bridge School are the visitors for this hour, and look like they're having a great time visiting the booths and learning all about other schools.
12.40 PM
We have just watched a presentation by Pt England School about P.E.N.N and schoolTV, their two TV shows. We saw all the cool things they include in their daily school news, PENN, like sport, daily information, and information about their topic for the term. They also showed us what schoolTV is. schoolTV is their TV show on triangle on Wednesdays at 5.45pm. It shows the best of their news items from the week. Thanks for showing us all the cool stuff you can do with digital video, PES!
12.20 PM
St Pius School has been learning all about bread. Bread is very important to them at their school. They showed us all about how to make bread, which was very exciting. The junior school told us about the gingerbread men they had made as part of the bread unit. They have also been learning about the life cycle of frogs, which they showed us using Hyperstudio. Their audience, and our visitors for the next hour, are Glen Innes' Senior School, and Tamaki Primary's Junior School. Hope you have fun!
11.35 AM
St Patrick's School have been using Photoshop for visual images in advertising. They showed us how they surveyed people to come up with the ideal size and packaging for their product - water bottles! Great job, St Pat's! How much does it cost?
11.15 AM
Pt England's Junior School has just finished their presentation. It was a futuristic look at ICT, set in the year 2155. We learnt all about what we need to take to journey to another planet - food, oxygen, water and clothes. We saw amazing animations of rockets, and saw the children planning for their trips to Mars, Venus and Pluto. Our visitors at the moment are Glen Innes Jnr, and St Pius X.
10.45 AM
We have just heard Glenbrae tell us all about how they use ICT at their school to learn. They use computers to help in all their subjects - from Statistics to retelling stories from books. They showed us some work they'd done on Publisher and some COOL animations!
10.20 AM
Panmure Bridge has just given their presentation, answering the question, "What is ICT?" by showing us what they are doing in each of their classes. They told us all about how they use technology in their school, and said that they have fantastic teachers! Tamaki Primary's Junior School and Pt England's Team 2 and Room 14 are the visiting schools for this hour. Hope to see you soon!
Special Guests
We are very pleased to have St Joseph's Orakei visiting our expo, along with other schools. Thank you for coming!
9.45 AM
We have just listened to Pt England's Senior School tell us and show us how they use ICT as part of their learning model. They showed us the different parts of the learning model, and gave out lollies to any volunteers! The groups of visitors are getting their final chance to have a look at the other booths before returning to school.
9.15 AM
The first presentation has happened. Tamaki College showed us what they have been doing at their school, from Levels 9 to 13. The visiting classes are now looking around at other booths.
9 AM - We're Starting!
The Hall is looking fantastic, everyone's in place, the first schools are arriving, and we're looking forward to a wonderful day!

One day to go!
Wednesday November 9 2005
Did you read the Courier today? There is a tiny mention on page 16 about our Expo. And, people are telling me they have seen the cool ad on Triangle television that has been running all week.
Don't forget to tell your family and neighbours about the Expo. They are invited too.
If you want to iChat us at the Expo, our screen name is nzictexpo@aim.com
Add it to your buddy list and you will be able to ask questions and tell us what you think.
The best way to be involved tomorrow is to comment on the blog.
We will be showing the best comments on the big screen throughout the day.
Come on, join in the fun!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Two Days to Go!
Hello Glenbrae.
Hello Glen Innes.
Hello Panmure Bridge.
Hello Pt England.
Hello St Patrick's.
Hello St Pius X.
Hello Tamaki Primary.
There is a lot of excitement at our schools today as everyone is getting ready for the Expo on Thursday at Tamaki College.
The schools are putting together some wonderful displays and there are awesome presentations being worked on by students from all across our cluster.
I feel very lucky because I think I am the only person who has had a quick look at every school's work, and I can tell you this - it is going to be a FANTASTIC day!
I hope you are all coming to visit AND you are reminding your parents to come too.
If you look in the Courier on Wednesday you should see an article telling you all about the Expo.
How about adding a comment to this blog and tell us one or two things your school is going to present at the Expo - keep some of it secret though :)
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you there.
